When we announced our move to Bristol, we hinted at a ‘secret feature’.

Well, the builders are in and making great progress fitting the building out for us. It is going to be a fabulous space to work in and, as a full PoP on our network, has great connectivity – and we have loads of parking.

In designing it though we kept a substantial proportion (broadly half) for team downtime, our customers and the community. We’ve specified some working booths that customers are welcome to drop in and use, but also a training and entertaining space.

We’re making this space available to the wider open source and developer community at no cost. We invite these groups to use it to provide training, or for their own events.

The first events, from open source projects we’re closely involved with, will be announced shortly. Additionally, we invite our customers to use the space for their own launches etc as well.

We also intend pulling together with a series of mini-conferences we’re calling SimCon (prize for a better name!). These will feature talks by us, but most significantly insight from key figures in the open source projects we work with and other community figures, for those who don’t make it to ClueCon, Astricon, Kamailio World or CommCon! Drop us a line if you have specific topics you’d be interested in or would like to present.

SimCon1 will be on February 1st 2018 starting at 2pm. We’ll be posting the agenda shortly but if it sounds interesting and you’d like to come, please let Frazer know ASAP. We’re capping attendance and will be giving priority to customers.

After SimCon1 will be our belated 20th birthday and office-warming party for which invites will be going out soon. We’d love to see you at both or just one. It’ll be a great opportunity to put faces to PCAPs!
