We’d like to invite you to try our new Customer Portal!

v2 has served us well but was long overdue a refresh and bringing into line with the many new features in our API. v3 is therefore available in beta today and we think you’ll love it. We’d stress the ‘beta’ label however – there will be bugs, there will be changes and we have a number of big functionality areas to add that haven’t yet made the grade. If you’re brave and curious, do please check it out and we’d be really grateful if you would let us know what you think, good or bad.

As this catches up on 100% of API functionality you can now manage trunks, both authenticated and IP address based, and even manage Indirect Access end-points. You also have full access to the numerous fraud controls that can be added to trunks too which we know has been a big gap in the v2 release.

Live calls in progress

We think you’re going to want to put this on your NOC walls too since, as another Simwood first, the portal home page displays a live view of the activity on your account. You can see calls in progress by value as well as countries. Anomalies should be obvious enabling you to take action. Warning: this is quite addictive and the only remedy is to link your monitoring to our API!

There are a few bits that we know aren’t perfect yet but we wanted you to see where we were with it. The biggest one is reports and processes behind our API to generate them. With millions and millions of calls a day this has been a challenge all of its own but we’ve made internal changes, which are now an undocumented part of the API and will make their first appearance in the v3 portal beta next week. They’re quick and add some really exciting new features. For now, the present API endpoints are being used.

You can log in to the v3 beta portal using your existing credentials from the current live portal. Password management etc. remains in the live one for now.

We’ll update you further over coming weeks but in the mean-time do please let us know what you think.

Update 6th July 2015
